This is Photo 1 of 9 of the mountains which form Abel Tasman National Park, as seen from the shore beside Nelson, which sitis just across the bay. I believe that locally it is just known as the Abel Tasman and that is how I refer to it. If I'm not mistaken the rock in the water in Photo 9 is known as Clasher Rock, named in honour of a ship that crashed into it a long time ago.
This is the closest thing to the fires of Mount Doom that we have. In this workshop, the late Jens Hanses produced the several examples of the One Ring and here you can still buy replicas.
